Designers Ulrike Jurklies and Paul Bas form studio mo man tai and are known for their fresh, exploratory approach to design, which focuses on colour, materials, and social relevance. The name — derived from Cantonese, meaning “no problem” and loosely translated as “everything will be fine” — reflects their optimistic and open way of working.
Their projects range from products for their own label and for thirds to spatial installations, often characterized by a keen eye for material transformation and always with a focus on sustainability, playfulness and clear visual communication.
Fascinated by how design can contribute to new perspectives and insights, studio mo man tai team also sees design as an invitation to dialogue.
